485 Temporary Graduate Visa

Part of LH Global’s strategy is to engage with graduate visa applicants as early as possible. Early engagement allows LH Global to guide the graduates through the application process, averting any potential errors or difficulties that may arise during the process. LH Global prefers to engage with students prior to their graduation in order to facilitate planning required to lodge a subclass 485 application. The subclass 485 Temporary Graduate visa is split into two main streams; the Graduate Work stream and the Post-Study Work stream.

Graduate Work Stream

This visa steam is for international students who graduate from Australian institutions with an eligible qualification. Students must nominate an occupation on the most current Skilled Occupation List (SOL). The applicant then has to submit a suitable skills assessment for the nominated occupation. A visa in this stream is granted for 18 months from the date of grant.

Post-study Work Stream

This visa stream is for international students who graduate with a higher education degree from an Australian education provider, regardless of their field of study. This visa is only available for students who applied for, and were granted their first student visa on or after the 5th of November 2011. There are no skills assessment or occupation requirements. A visa in this stream can be granted for up to four years from the date the visa is granted, depending on the visa applicant’s qualification.
