Maybe, spend the night in a castle or country house hotel, visit a stately home or embrace the slower pace of life on the River Thames or one of the many historic canals. Perhaps a walk-in Derbyshire’s famous Peak District or enjoy a ride on one of the many scenic steam railways.

We have a range of locations and activities for you to choose from. Throughout your visit, you will become familiar with the specific area of Britain you are visiting.

Our summer education visits are two to three-week programmes for US High School students, who have very little or no travel experience outside North America. Participants can explore the culture, heritage and history of the UK while experiencing life in the university cities of Oxford and Cambridge.

Education:

The UK welcomes over 50,000 American students into its higher education system each year. Three of the top ten universities in the world are Oxford, Cambridge and St.Andrews in Scotland. There are 39 colleges at the University of Oxford and 31 at Cambridge.

An Oxbridge education is much sought after with both universities having a common approach to undergraduate admissions.

Eton College, in the Royal County of Berkshire, is globally renowned for promoting independent thought and learning in pursuit of excellence and a pathway to Oxford or Cambridge University.

 

World of Harry Potter:

Experience the magic of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, explore iconic sets and discover what it took to bring the Harry Potter films to life at Warner Bros studio tour. Or walk in the footsteps of Harry Potter at Christ Church College, Oxford, the inspiration for Hogwarts’ very own Great Hall providing the location for many Harry Potter scenes.

 

Shakespeare’s Birthplace:

Visit William Shakespeare’s childhood home in the heart of Stratford-upon-Avon, the restored 16th-century house has been restored and is now a small museum.

Possibly the most famous writer in the English language, Shakespeare is known for his sonnets and plays such as ‘Romeo and Juliet’ and ‘Hamlet’. The Royal Shakespeare Company performs his plays in the Royal Shakespeare Theatre and adjacent Swan Theatre on the banks of the River Avon.

 

The Royal Family:

Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle are two of the royal residences that the Queen likes to call home and spends much of her time. Balmoral Castle is the Scottish holiday home to the Royal Family. The changing of the guards and guided tours of the residences are always popular with visitors along with a visit to see the Crown Jewels in the Tower of London.

 

Premier League Football

The Premier League is the top level of the English football league system in which such notable clubs as Manchester United, Liverpool FC and current league champions Manchester City play.

Former Manchester United player David Beckham, a fans favourite gained international fame on both sides of the Atlantic when he moved to LA Galaxy as a player and is now the current president and co-owner of Inter Miami CF. He also has a home in Oxfordshire.
