General Manager – China

About the Role To represent the company’s international business services in the China market.  The role will be focused on developing the market for Student Services, Migration, Project acquisition and international recruitment to the mainland china market. The position will initially be responsible for building a professional consulting team across the group’s offices. While responsible for promoting LH Global’s full range of services, initially it is expected that the position will focus on expanding the Student and Migration Services offering.   Working with LH Global’s existing and future education institutions, the position will determine and execute marketing and student recruitment activities.  The position will establish and expand recruitment channels to optimize commencements.   Identifying strategic markets appropriate for LH Global’s suite of education institutions, to position will implement appropriate marketing initiatives. Making the most of LH Group’s network, the role will develop strong relationships with business leaders in each office, to gain support and make the most of the existing business relationships.  Depending on the market size and potential, the GM may appoint an independent consultant or seek the support of a consultant already working in that office. Representing LH Global’s international business, the General Manager will need to build and maintain strong relationships with the division heads and consultants in each market, and also the Country Heads in the US and the UK once appointed. It is expected that the General Manager will take a role in supporting the business development for LH Global’s other 3 core business functions and over time establish teams to promote these services in-line with the Group strategy. About the Candidate Coming from the Student Services & Migration business areas we seek a highly capable, professional and ethical business person.  With a proven track record in establishing and growing a business in the student services area, the successful candidate will have managed a consultancy with multiple service offerings.   Preferred candidates will have developed service offerings and team structures to meet changes in the market and be effective at cross selling a range of solutions. Successful candidates will have strong partnership development skills and be capable of eliciting support from a range of parties within a network.  It is essential that they have a global outlook and can work in a complex business environment. Mature with solid leadership skills, the successful candidate should be able to develop and manage a team spread across China.  He or she will be familiar with establishing and managing to business targets and managing a reporting system. The ideal candidate will be multi-lingual, with language skills in English and Mandarin Chinese.
