• A new online visa application system will be launched on 15 July 2019.

• The first approval of a temporary long stay parent visa sponsorship has been noticed by MIA. The application steps as below:
o The sponsor(child) apply for the sponsorship
o The applicant (parents) submit the visa application for Subclass 870
The application fee for sponsorship is AUD420
The application fee for 3-year visa application is AUD5000
The application fee for 5-year visa application is AUD10000

• The number of Work and Holiday visa for Singapore citizens will be increased from 500 to 2500 per year from 1 July 2019. This increase is to assist farmer and regional businesses fill critical work shortages.

• As advised, only 100 invitations were sent in last invitation round for EOI. The shortage of the invitation numbers has resulted in high points competition.
